Featuring the John Mathies' Memorial Cup


This August we are celebrating all things British at Silver Leys - think Polo, Cream teas, Welly Wanging, Tug of war - all accompanied by local trade stands showing everthing from artisan cheese to jewellery! 


The Main Event

The John Mathies' Memorial Cup is a season favourite close to many members' hearts - Some of the best 0 goal polo in the country will be played on Pitch One at Silver Leys - fast, furious and action packed, get ready to cheer for the most exciting polo this season. 


VIP Experience

Join us for a VIP experience at lunchtime in our exclusive pitch-side marquee - relax and let the music wash over you as you tuck into 2 delicious handmade courses in front of the action packed games on the field.


Bring your dog! 

With a fun amateur dog-show running, enter your pooch into the competition for fun classes such as "Dog that looks most like its owner"! Entries are just £2.50 per class - Sign up in the clubhouse!


Tug of War

Head to the clubhouse to put your name down for the hotly anticipated tug of war at 3:30pm - All welcome! 


Bicycle Polo

Take your seats at 12:30pm for amateur bicycle polo! Featuring the grooms vs players at Silver Leys, expect unbridled chaos and potential carnage. 


Food and Drinks

Tuck into delicious food from the clubhouse and explore our trade stands for tasty take-home goodies!

We are a friendly and open club - relax and join in the fun at the side of the pitch with everyone: players, grooms and spectators all socialise in the sun enjoying the entertainment! 


Dress Code: It is very relaxed - aim for a smart casual with open collar shirts and summery dresses!
